Flexible SIgmoidoscopy

Sigmoidoscopy uses a long, thin, flexible HD camera to view the last portion of the colon. It is usually performed to investigate bleeding, or changes in bowel habits. The procedure is typically performed in about 5 minutes or less, without sedation. Sigmoidoscopy can be performed along with hemorrhoid banding, (discussed in another section).
